Get eight weeks of hands-on core content, guest instructors at the top of the field, and four weeks of coaching and support.
We know that there are many paths to becoming a Community Manager (CM), and that Community teams come in many shapes and sizes (and that often, the Community team is a team of one!). This can result in a lack of mentorship and training, which is why it's vitally important for Community Managers to take training into their own hands.
Our goal is to empower CMs to advocate for both themselves — think better titles, better compensation, a voice in company decisions — and for the community industry at large. By achieving C School certification, CMs can show their expertise in the professional landscape and build the skills necessary to be efficient and effective on the job.
Cohorts are capped at 15 students, to give them hands-on attention and deep relationships with peers and instructors.
C School is unlike other online courses. With us, you have a team of professionals dedicated to helping you grow.
C School is the only program offering community pros the education, resources, and hands-on support to take their careers to the next level.
You'll get access to a private community with peers and industry-renowned experts. Community access is free, forever.
The assignments in Community Management Essentials are designed to have real-life practical application for your work — students often say they mirror projects they’re already working on.
The capstone of the portfolio work is a community strategy pitch that combines all of the learning of the first eight weeks of the course, plus practice presenting a pitch to a team of your peers.
This is one of the most practical, helpful, and effective courses I've taken in the course of my career. Strongly recommend it for those who want guidance and direction in their existing role.
In addition, we offer payment plans of three, six, and 12 months for students who are paying tuition themselves.
Finally, scholarship funds are available for every C School cohort, and we strive to admit students regardless of their ability to pay. If you feel this program is a good fit for you, please don't hesitate to apply. Our team is ready to work with you!
Our Community Management Essentials course is for early-career community professionals with 1-5 years of community experience. Ideally, these candidates will already have a community role, but those in community-adjacent roles (content, support, marketing, etc.) will also find value in the program. If you aren't sure if the track is right for you, we encourage you to apply and we can discuss more together!
C School students can expect to spend about 10 hours per week on live classes, peer group sessions, and independent study combined throughout the course of 12 weeks. Most live sessions take place in the range of 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. EST.
We know this can be tricky, so we vary the meeting times for each cohort to provide a wider range of options for students across time zones. If you know you'd like to do C School but the timing of the upcoming cohort doesn't work for you, please do apply and make a note about availability in your application. We will follow up when we have a cohort running during a more convenient time for you.
While there are many incredible educational resources available for Community Managers, C School is the only program on the market offering this level of in-depth, hands-on instruction. We cap our cohorts at 15 students, which lets us take a personalized approach to help them succeed. Creating a program that's this hands-on and comprehensive requires full-time staff dedicated to building and executing. We know that for many students, this program will be an investment, and we're dedicated to making that investment worthwhile and offering flexible payment plan and scholarship options for students who are qualified but unable to fund the program.
